Shirley and her husband Dom, originally from Massachusetts, came to Wilmington in 1990 after selling a prosperous printing business. Their children followed and the family soon called Wilmington their home. After traveling the east coast with carnivals, Shirley and Dom moved to Florida where they opened an Italian restaurant. While in Florida, Shirley started in a real estate career on the west coast and was very active in the business as well as the Real Estate Board and continues today as an active broker in Wilmington.
